About : Mark Baer
Mark is the owner and co-founder of SCR Performance. He began his career in 1996
in the sport compact scene, and after the introduction of the Audi 1.8T in 1998,
discovered his appreciation for European car performance. That led to opening SCR
Performance, and the story continues today.
Mark has been racing competitively since 1999, in everything from nearly stock Hondas, to F125 shifter karts, to
nationally competitive, fully race prepared Audis and BMW's. He holds multiple event wins and class championships.
In addition to nearly a decade of solo experience, Mark is a SCCA PDX/Club Trials competitor, and completed his regional club racing license in 2008.
Mark is also a certified chief instructor in the SCCA, for solo/autocross, and club trials, and is in charge of running the SCR Performance motorsport program.
Mark competes regularly in SCCA STU competition in a BMW M3, and road racing in a Spec M3 touring car.
Mark's daily driver is a modified 1999 BMW M-Coupe.
