About : Chris Mayfield
Chris started racing in 2004 doing open track events at Second Creek Raceway, with his 1992 Ford Taurus SHO. After doing some open track events he moved into the BMW world, purchasing an E36 M3.
Since, he has competed locally and nationally in SCCA Solo ("Autocross") in the Street Touring Ultra class, taking 1st place locally and 15th nationally in the 2008 season.
He continues to campaign his 1997 M3 in STU class, as well as using the car for a daily-driver.
Although Chris is now focused mainly on the BMW motorsports world, he has a wide variety of past experience. In addition to owning 3 Taurus SHOs, he has also owned an S13 240sx, ST165 Celica Alltrac,
E30 325is, and a couple Dodge and Ford trucks. In addition to his motorsports experience, Chris is studying to be a Mechanical Engineer at Colorado State University, and hopes to work in the
motorsports field once completing his degree.
