Gallery : David Jobusch's BMW M5
At its introduction in 1999,the BMW M5 was the fastest saloon car in the world with a top speed of 185mph. Known in Bimmer circles as "The Beast", a total of
20,482 E39 M5s were built from 1999-2003. The highly-tuned S62 engine is a 4.94L V8 with double VANOS, individual throttle bodies for each cylinder, and a
7000 RPM redline which produces 394bhp. Power is put down by a 6-speed manual Getrag Type D transmission to 275 width tires. All this results in 4 doors of
autobahn luxury that goes 0-60 in < 5 seconds.
