Driver : Chris Mayfield
Chris joined the SCR Driving team for the 2009 season. His past driving experience included open track days as well as autocrossing in his 1997
BMW M3. For the 2010 season, Chris is planning to transition to autocrossing in a Street-Mod Mitsubishi Evolution IX, and is hoping to have
an extremely strong season.
In 2008, Chris competed locally and took the STU class championship in a hard-fought battle with teammate and shop owner Mark Baer.
In 2009, the spots were reversed with Mark taking the top honors and Chris taking the 2nd spot. For the last two seasons Chris has
been in the top 20 drivers in the Rocky Mountain region SCCA autocross program. He was also able to earn his first National Tour trophy
by taking the top honors in STU at the SCCA Farmington National Tour.
For 2010, Chris plans to race under the SCR banner for both autocross and the SCCA Time Trials program. He plans to transition his M3 into a more
track-day oriented car to use in the Time Trials program. For the 2010 autocross season, Chris will drive with teammates Hsun Chen and Steven Hahn
in a very fast 2006 Mitsubishi Evolution, which promises to be a contender for FTD at any event.
