Jake Latham Third at SCCA National Championship Runoffs
In the national championship event known as the "Olympics of Motorsport", Jake Latham finished third in DSR after a week of
qualifying and competition, and will bring home a big medal and an even bigger smile for the week's effort.
Driving his SCR Performance sponsored Stohr WF-1 against the top-level DSR competitiors in the nation, Jake perservered through cold Wisconsin weather,
a bout of food poisoning, and failed engine to reach the podium over more than 20 other competitiors from around the country.
In an interview after the race, Jake shared, "The start was pretty bad for me, especially since my borrowed engine was way down on power to the rest of the cars around
me. I think I went from fourth to eigth or ninth, and pretty much everyone just sort of streamed by on the way to Turn 3. After that, it was just trying to find
and catch whomever I could. Then, cars started to drop out; I saw someone go off at the end of 5 and knew I was up a spot, made a few passes, and before long, I
figured I was up in third place, and just needed to protect that until the race end."
Crowning a season in which he also won the Weathertech June Sprints, in addition to his Runoffs medal, Jake was also awarded the DSR Sportsman of the Year trophy by his
fellow DSR competitors, and by former winner, Dick Colburn.

Robert Thorne is driving the AutoPartsWarehouse sponsored Audi A4 up Pike's Peak this weekend - follow the team this week on Facebook!
Robert has already been through the "Peak Week" testing, and will be testing his mettle against whatever the Peak throws at the competitors this year. As always, it is sure
to be a dramatic contest of man, machine, and mother Nature.

Driving his Stohr D-Sports Racer, Jake Latham pulled off an upset victory in horrendous conditions to become the 2011 June Sprints Champion.

SCR Heading Back up the 'Hill in 2011

SCR Brings Home the Hardware in 2010
The 2010 Solo and Club Racing seasons are both over for the SCCA, and with it, comes a slew of trophies for SCR's drivers and customers:

- Mark Baer - BSP Class Champion
- Nick Caruso - SMF Class Champion
- Robert Thorne - BS Class Champion
- Yarko Thomas - FP Class Champion
- Gage Hollen - BSP 2nd Place
